You Made It Past Mother’s Day. What Now?

You made it past Mother’s Day.
Maybe you smiled through the ache. Maybe you stayed busy so you would not fall apart. Maybe you cried quietly, avoided the day altogether, or felt numb when you thought you should feel something more. However you got through it, you got through it.
But now comes the question many grieving hearts quietly ask:
What now?
What happens after the flowers, the posts, the brunches, the memories, and the emotional weight of the day?
Now, you breathe. Now, you rest. Now, you stop measuring your healing by how well you “handled” one hard day.
Grief does not end because the holiday passed. And healing does not mean you will never feel the ache again. It means you are learning how to keep living with love still inside of you. So today, be gentle with the aftershock. Check in with your heart. Drink some water. Take a quiet walk. Write down what came up for you. Reach out to someone safe. Do one thing that reminds you that life is still holding space for you.
You made it through Mother’s Day.

Now, take the next step slowly.
Not because you are over it. But because you are still here. Still loved. Still becoming. Still allowed to heal.
